Digital Ticketing For Events

The future is here. Digital has taken over, and technology has come to stay. Gone are the days of paper printouts and physical tickets, and in their place, the QR code; small, portable and unique to each attendee.

We’re seeing more and more paperless and badgeless events, where digital tickets are the only necessity for event check-in. While physical badges can be a fantastic way to show your company branding, we’ve designed our digital ticketing packages to be just as stylised, with all of our e-tickets and QR codes designed to your requirements.

A QR code is capable of containing a huge amount of data. It is a small barcode that integrates with our system, creating a unique registration profile for each delegate. After registering for an event, delegates will be sent a confirmation email with their e-ticket attached. The digital ticket will contain a barcode (QR code) which can be scanned on arrival at the venue. The next steps are yours to make, whether you decide to go badgeless or opt for one of our recyclable eco-badges.

digital tickets are great for the environment

Sustainable

With digital ticketing, guests only need their phones, tablets or laptops to check-in on arrival. Paper tickets and agendas can now be totally accessible online, minimising our effect on the environment. Some events may choose to go totally badgeless, others may need badges for specific guest information. We offer 100% recyclable eco- badges, designed in your bespoke branding and compatible with our fast-track kiosks.

While some event organisers may choose to send guests a digital ticket that can be scanned to produce a badge, others may prefer to use digital tickets as the only necessity for event checkin, eliminating the need for a badge entirely.

For some events, a badge may not be appropriate. For example, if the event is a dinner or a high-end conference, a large style expo badge may not be quite right. In this case, digital tickets are a perfect solution. Guests need only present their digital tickets to a member of staff and their registration will be instantly noted.

For other events, a badge may still be necessary, as could be the case for large exhibitions where badges are important for containing information about attendees.

So, what are the benefits of digital tickets?

digital ticketing is a great way of saving time

Time-Saving

Digital tickets provide the fastest solution possible for event check in. After the QR code is scanned, delegates need wait less than 5 seconds for their badge to be printed. That means arriving, registering and popping their badge on (if required) can take less than 10 seconds. Minimise queues, simplify check-in, optimise guest experience. Simple.

Problem - We’ve all seen events where tables of physical badges are laid out on tables and staff scour down a page endlessly looking for the guests name, while an enormous queue builds behind them. Unhappy guest, unhappy staff.

Solution - Digital tickets and QR codes allow for rapid check-in. Staff can scan in e-tickets with our handheld devices in a matter of seconds, and guests are free to go and enjoy the event. No queues, no mess, all smiles.

Problem - Millions of poly bags and plastic packaging are used every year in the badge industry, simply to protect badges in transit. It’s common for both badge and packaging end up in landfill. To add to this, badges themselves are often made of plastic, or may contain materials that cannot be recycled.

Solution - Opt for a sustainable event badge, such as our recyclable expo badges or our compostable credit card style conference badges. Alternatively, opt for a badgeless option by using digital ticketing and our simple QR codes.

COVID-Cautious

Digital tickets also a great way to minimise contact and maintain social distancing between delegates and staff. With digital tickets, guests merely need to find the code on their phone, present it to a scanner, choose their own lanyard to attach their badge to and they’re good to go.

Problem - Event check-in can get very busy, and multiple people can have access to screens, badges, tickets and other manual items, increasing risk and minimising social distancing

Solution - By keeping tickets on personal devices, contact is minimised and social distancing can be maintained, especially by using our self-scan kiosks, where guests can scan their own digital tickets and collect their own badges without needing to come in contact with anyone else.

Guest-Specific

As each QR code is unique to the delegate, the information included in that code will be unique too. When the code is scanned, it will reveal what type of ticket the delegate has, which part of the event they have access to and many more crucial pieces of information.

Problem - Each badge may need to have different instructions, such as ticket type, session breakout, room choices etc. This could mean designing multiple different badges and tickets which will need to be manually categorised on the day.

Solution - Digital tickets and QR codes can contain any varying guest information in one easy email, without the complexity of involving manual badges or paper agendas.
